Hummingbirds and Missing You
Have you ever filled the hummingbird feeder
then
had a little fellow come drink
sit on a nearby wire
stick out his tongue
ruffle all his feathers
say opinionated hummingbird things?

Perhaps...
you will be with me next time
We will shush our laughter until he is gone
then
we will talk
of how very good it is
to be together
in this exquisitely
wonderful world of ours
