I am so grateful for your faithful readership each week. If writing motivation is based on praise then I should have quit before I started. Many a week though, your kind comments, (or tender notification of spelling/grammatical errors) reminds me that words matter and mine are impacting you.
This spring I took two writing classes with professors that gave me great feedback and renewed inspiration. It was one of those things where you don't know what you don't know and I tasted just a bit of a whole wide world out there! It was sweet. The month of July will be focused on developing a simple poetry submission system, along with doubling down on finding an agent for my kids books.
It is easy to get too close to your work and lose any kind of perspective. Would you be so kind as to choose one or two of my pieces that impacted you and send me an email - alicewyatt1970@gmail.com - telling me why? This will really help me focus on the work that reaches a broader audience and thus a publisher's eye.
